EMCC 2022

Relationships in a world of conflict and chaos

Loving God, your neighbour, yourself, your enemy

The world seems to be increasingly polarised, with relationships characterised by animosity and divisiveness even in the church and mission.

How do we embrace and foster authentically loving and sacrificial relationships in our teams and communities?

Our Bible studies in Romans 12 will inform our thinking on crucial relationships such as team, church, family, agency, spouse, nationals, persecutors, leaders and God as we see to share the gospel with others not only in what we do and say, but in who we are and how we live.

Dates: 28th – 31st March 2022
Location: Budapest, Hungary

We’re delighted that our Bible readings will be led by Jonathan Ward of Pierres Vivantes, and that our plenary speakers are:

Harry Hoffmann (Global Member Care Network) on Loving God
Mihai Lundell (OCI) on Loving Your Neighbour
Christine Schuppener (Schuppener Global Transitions) on Loving Yourself
Anne Reitsema (Medair) on Loving Your Enemy

We have a great number of workshops planned and among our confirmed workshop leaders are: Alex Galloway, John Harris, Marion Knell, Rafael Năstase, Christian Quartier, Maryann Richard, Reidun Haugen Dalseth, Stefana Racorean, Amrei Wehmeyer, Maria Techow and also our plenary speakers Harry Hoffmann, Mihai Lundell, Christine Schuppener and Anne Reitsema.

Follow these links to read speaker biographies and our plenary and workshop synopses. If you are participating in the EMCC, you had until March 16th to register for the workshops. If you have not signed up, you can choose the workshops where space is still available when you arrive at the hotel. The lists will be at the EMCC registration desk.

Pre-Conference: Introduction to Member Care event
We’d like to draw your attention to a special Introduction to Member Care event led by Harry Hoffmann and Guille Eddy on Monday 28th March. This event is for anyone who is new to member care or anyone who wants to arrive a day early and dive deeper in what member care is and get some more practical insights. You can attend as a day guest for €30,00 or when staying at the hotel for the conference and staying an extra night for a Twin room €75,00 or Single room €95,00. Keep in mind that you have to arrive a day early on Sunday 27th March. Click here for more information.

Bookings:
We have space in the hotel and conference rooms for 170 participants. At this time, we are fully booked. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list please send an email to Renate Hauer (e-mail to events@aem.de). If anyone cancels in time before the conference we will do our best to give that spot to someone on the waiting list.

Even though the conference is already fully booked we do still have enough space available for day guests to attend the pre-conference ‘Introduction to Member Care’ event. If you want to attend this event, please book your day guest ticket before March 21st via our booking system.

On January 13th the board of Member Care Europe decided that the EMCC is going ahead as planned. We advise you to book your flight at the latest date possible unless you are able to buy a flexible ticket or get a full refund from your airline or booking agency.

We encourage you to pray for the consultation, for final preparations being made by the planning team and the speakers, and for the Lord to have his hand upon the gathering.

Please read our terms and conditions. If you have any questions, please read our Q&A before contacting us.
